Zenglin Xu received a Ph.D. degree in computer science and engineering from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is currently a full professor at Fudan University, and also affiliated with Shanghai Academy of AI for Science. He has been working at Michigan State University, the Cluster of Excellence at Saarland University and the Max Planck Institute for Informatics, Purdue University, and the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, and Harbin Institute of Technology Shenzhen. Dr. Xu's research interests include Trustworthy machine learning and AI for Science. He is the recipient of the outstanding student paper honorable mention at AAAI 2015, the best student paper runner up at ACML 2016, the best paper final list of ICONIP 2023, and the 2016 young researcher award from APNNS. He currently serves as an associate editor of Neural Networks. He is currently the vice president for education in International Neural Network Society.
