Professor Dr. Jian Junbo is Director of the Center for China-Europe Relations, Institute of International Studies, Fudan University. His main research interests include EU politics and foreign relations, China-Europe relations, and international relations theory. He has published more than 60 academic papers in Chinese and English. He is the author or editor of numerous books, including The Limits of Power: A Study on the Legitimacy of American Hegemony after the Cold War, China's Investment in Europe: An Analysis from Perspective of Politics, Multiple Dilemmas and Integration Prospects of the EU, African Affairs and Sino-European Relations, Sino-European Relations and the Reshaping of the International Order, The Enlarged European Union: Prospects and Implications. He engaged in translating “The Brussels Effect: How the EU Ruled the World” and “International Relations Theory: A European Perspective” into Chinese versions. He had been a visiting scholar at Durham University, Aalborg University, and LSE. He serves as Under-Secretary General of the Shanghai Institute for European Society, Board member of Chinese Association for European Studies and Senior Researcher at the Serbian Institute of National and International Security. From 2018 to 2020, he served as a diplomat at the Chinese Embassy in Croatia.
