林 伟,1976年10月生。复旦大学数学科学学院特聘教授。上海数学中心双聘教授。浦江实验室领军科学家。目前担任复旦大学教务处处长、能复杂体系基础理论与关键技术实验室主任、计算系统生物学中心主任。2011年入选教育部新世纪人才计划,2013年国家优秀青年基金获得者,2016年获选IEEE学会高级会员,2018年国家重点研发计划重点项目负责人,2019年国家杰出青年基金获得者。
主要从事非线性动力系统、复杂网络、人工智能、计算系统生物学、计算生态学、社会科学等领域的应用数学理论、算法、模型等交叉研究,并在类脑智能、社会科学、公共卫生等领域中开展应用性研究。研究成果发表于PRL,PNAS,National Science Review,Nature Communications,Nature Physics,IEEE-TAC等汇刊,SIAM-CON等汇刊等国际重要学术期刊和ICLR, AAAI, NeurIPS等顶级会议。目前担任上海市非线性科学研究会第六届副理事长、第六、七届秘书长,中国工业与应用数学学会数学生命科学专委会第一届副主任委员,中国数学会生物数学专委会第九届副主任委员,中国运筹学会计算生物学分会第一、二届常务理事,中国指挥与控制学会网络科学与工程专委会第一、二届常务委员,国际物理与控制学会理事,国际期刊CHAOS编辑咨询委员会委员,国际期刊IJBC副编辑。曾获2010年教育部霍英东基金会高校青年教师二等奖,2015-2019年连续入选 Elsevier出版集团“通用工程”领域中国高被引学者,2019年世界华人数学家联盟(ICCM)最佳论文奖,2019年上海市五一劳动奖章(科创中心),2020年上海市自然科学一等奖(排名第二),2024年 V. Afraimovich 奖(国际非线性科学与复杂性大会授予Outstanding young scholars in Nonlinear Physical Science)。
Wei Lin was born in Shanghai, China, in October 1976. From September 1988 to June 1994, he studied in the No. 2 Secondary School affiliated to East China Normal University, China. He received the B.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in applied mathematics from Fudan University, Shanghai, China, in July 1998 and January 2003, respectively, with specialization in dynamical systems, bifurcation and chaos theory, and chaos control and synchronization.
In March 2003, Dr. Lin, as a Lecturer, joined the School of Mathematical Sciences, Fudan University, China, where, in April 2005 and December 2009, he was, respectively, promoted to the positions of Associate Professor and Full Professor of applied mathematics. Also, in December 2005 and December 2010, he, respectively, obtained the qualifications of supervisors for the M.Sc. and the Ph.D. students. He was selected as a Professor at Shanghai Center for Mathematical Sciences in 2018.
From April 2004 to May 2005, Dr. Lin served as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, York University, Canada. From January 2008 to June 2017, he served as the Vice Dean of the School of Mathematical Sciences, Fudan University, China, and from March 2008 to January 2017, he served as the Deputy Dean of the Centre for Computational Systems Biology, Fudan University, China. From March 2016 to January 2022, Dr. Lin served as the Deputy Dean of the Institute of Science and Technology for Brain-Inspired Intelligence (ISTBI), Fudan University, China. From January 2022 to March 2023, he served as the Vice Dean of the School of Data Science. Currently, (from January 2017) he is serving as the Director of the Centre for Computational Systems Biology, Fudan University. From June 2020, he is serving as the Dean of the Research Institute of Intelligent Complex Systems (RIICS), Fudan University, China. From March 2023, he is serving as the Dean of the Office of Educational Administration, Fudan University. From July 2019 to March 2023, he served as the Deputy Director of the MOE Frontiers Center for Brain Science (Fudan University). From July 2019, he is serving as the Deputy Director of the Key Laboratory of Computational Neuroscience and Brain-inspired Intelligence (Fudan University), Ministry of Education, China. From July 2007 and June 2013, he has held the Staff Scientist position at the CAS-MPG Partner Institute for Computational Biology, Shanghai, China. He is now the Deputy Chair and General Secretary of the Shanghai Society of Nonlinear Sciences. He is the board member of the Chinese Society of Computational Systems Biology and the member of the International Physics and Control Society. He serves as the Associate Editor for several international journals, including the International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos. He is the member of the editorial advisory committee of CHOAS: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Nonlinear Science. From 2016, Dr. Lin becomes the Senior Member of IEEE.
Dr. Lin’s current research interests include: nonlinear dynamical systems, bifurcation and chaos theory, hybrid systems, stochastic differential and difference equations, functional differential equations, chaos control and synchronization, complex networks, time series analysis, causality analysis, parameters estimation (data assimilations), model reconstruction, computational systems biology, and mathematics problems in social sciences and data sciences.
Dr. Lin was awarded the Shanghai Science and Technology Rising Star and Tracked Rising Star from the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, China, respectively, in 2007 and in 2011. He received the Second Prize of the Fok-Ying-Tung Education Foundation Award for Young Scientists in Universities from the Ministry of Education of China in 2010, and he was selected as the Shuguang Scholar supported by the Shanghai Education Foundation in 2010. He was selected as an Excellent Young Scholar supported by NSFC in 2013. He was selected as a PI for a key project supported by the National Key R&D Program of China in 2018. He was selected as an Outstanding Young Scholar supported by NSFC in 2019. He was awarded, respectively, the May Day Labor Medal (Shanghai Science and Technology Innovation Center) and The Consortium of Chinese Mathematicians (ICCM) Best Paper Award in 2019. He was awarded the First Prize of the 2020 Shanghai Natural Science Award (Winner no. 2) in May, 2021, and the V. Afraimovich Award (For outstanding young scholars in Nonlinear Physical Science) from the International Conference Series on Nonlinear Science and Complexity Conference in May, 2024. From 2015 to 2019, he was selected as a Highly Cited Chinese Researcher in General Engineering according to Elsevier.
